Consultant Director

CONSULTANT

As a member of a firm committed to providing outstanding client service, you will work with our Managers, Directors and Partners in supporting our clients’ accounting and reporting function during their times of need. In this capacity, your contributions will be highly valued and appreciated by your clients and colleagues. Our professionals work closely their colleagues, client senior management, independent auditors and other stakeholders to provide assistance with accounting for mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, IPO’s, revenue recognition, SEC reporting, Stock-based compensation and many other critical areas of accounting and finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research, document and present the accounting position for complex accounting transactions to Partners and Directors

  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements and other SEC filings such as Form 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, S-1.

  • Serve as an interim assistant controller, revenue recognition manager, SEC reporting manager and similar roles

  • Review and present the documentation of processes and controls for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance to Partners and Directors

  • Act as a liaison between client management and external auditors on certain issues

  • Design and create tailored reports specific to key issues

  • Participate in and lead client fieldwork

  • Oversee staff in the field providing real time feedback and guidance to ensure timely and efficient delivery

  • Participate in business development efforts

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a top tier college or university; Master’s Degree is preferred; Licensed CPA

  • Five to seven years of experience with a top tier public accounting firm

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Securities and Exchange Commission financial reporting issues, and/or International Financial Reporting Standards
