Human Resources Cooordinator

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Human Resources Coordinator will work with the HR Director with a strong focus on benefits. This individual will be responsible for the following:

  • Administer benefit programs including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, LTD, AD&D and retirement. Responsibilities include reviewing/approving benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in our HRIS system, Workday.

  • Conduct new hire benefits orientation on a weekly basis as well assist in ongoing education of employees on the benefit offerings.

  • Process monthly invoices for all benefit plans and employee reimbursements for various benefit programs.

  • Prepare benefit information packets and exit materials for employees

  • Assist in preparation of employee documentation including leave of absence notifications, benefit confirmations, repayment agreements, etc.

  • Enter employee data into 3rd party COBRA administrator’s portal for notifications

  • Partner with members of compensation and payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions are submitted to payroll.

  • Ensure plan documents are updated on an ongoing basis to reflect accurate benefit information and are uploaded into Workday.

  • Respond to inquiries from employees throughout the organization including colleagues in HR in a timely and professional manner.

  • Maintain internal notifications and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations / laws.

  • Assist in yearly benefit renewal process and new benefit implementation/open enrollment.

  • Assist with relocation program answering questions, initiating with provider, maintaining policy and processing invoices.

  • Respond to ad hoc reporting needs, assist in benefits bench marking and special projects, as needed.

  • Provide general administrative support to the team including, scheduling of meetings/events, filing, invoices, etc.

  • Proactive approach to daily work and projects

DESIRED BACKGROUND / EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Must have at least 2 years of benefits related experience and a minimum of 2 years of Benefits administrative experience

  • Candidates should have a strong interest in financial services

  • Workday experience a plus
