The Portfolio Analyst role represents a dynamic opportunity for an analytical finance professional to work as a key member on the finance team. The professional will be responsible for the process of tracking portfolio performance from both ends in support of internal and external reporting. The professional will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of continuous improvement projects that will be designed to make an impact on the finance team.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and input quarterly financial and operational information for all equity portfolio companies. Work with MIS to produce bi-weekly, quarterly and annual reports related to the financial performance of the companies
Support the development of analytical tools that facilitate the review of portfolio performance. Assist in implementing new techniques for financial analysis, process efficiencies and systems enhancements.
Manage the portfolio monitoring database used to track and report on individual portfolio companies. This includes the maintenance of CRM that will used to manage all contacts and communications with deal teams and portfolio companies regarding the collection of portfolio company financials and KPIs.
Participate in the quarterly valuation process by managing the valuation calculation input data and facilitating the completion of valuation calculations by the investment teams.
Support existing team members on value creation projects related to portfolio analysis, fundraising, fund reporting and investor relations.
Work with the team to develop additional quarterly and annual reporting for both internal and external presentations.

Bachelor’s degree (accounting or finance) from an undergraduate institution with a record of academic achievement
Working knowledge of financing reporting and GAAP required
Recent graduate or 1-2 years of relevant experience (CPA or FP&A)
Strong excel and power point skills or excited and open to learn
Experience with using software tools or excited and open to learn
