Corporate Finance Group

The Corporate Finance Group consists of 21 individuals and is responsible for the day-to-day accounting for the Global Management Company.  The Global Management Company consolidates the operations of the Investment Advisors (one for each business – Private Equity, Credit, Insurance, Crypto, Ventures, Public Equity, Double Impact, Tech Opportunities, Life Sciences, Real Estate, and Partnership Strategies) and the entities by geography including Asia Pacific (Hong Kong, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Australia), Europe (London, Dublin, Munich and South Africa) and India (Mumbai and Mauritius).  The Corporate Finance Group is also responsible for tax accounting and works closely with the Tax Department on Tax Reporting. Various other responsibilities within the group include the treasury and cash management function, internal reporting, external reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed assets.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the following tasks associated with several Firm entities within the Capital Markets hierarchy:

• Oversight of various accounting and period end close tasks related to the efficient invoicing, processing and maintenance of accounts receivable transactions across the Capital Markets business units

• Ownership of external party invoicing, collections, and reporting process

• Management of the Associates preparation of quarterly management fee and expense reimbursement invoices for fund entities and portfolio companies managed by the Capital Markets business units as well as expense summaries for pending deals

• Review invoices prepared by Associates to be sent to Business Units throughout the year

• Review revenue and expense reimbursements in the general ledger recorded by Associates and ensure accurate and complete recognition and reconciliation of each transaction

• Monitor and analyze amounts billed vs. collected, real-time from the funds and certain portfolio companies and liaison with BU Finance teams on variances

• Monitor and maintain compliance with firm policies and contractual agreements regarding billing of expenses to external parties

• Coordinate and liaise with the international offices on deliverables such as the monthly/quarterly financial reporting package, local statutory audits, and the annual close process

• Provide the right balance of coaching and development to Associates through effective management

• Coordinate and liaise with the Capital Markets Expense Processing team on cost allocation summaries and invoice generation for fund entities

• Perform ad hoc analysis as needed

General Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented, organized and professional;

• Intermediate to advanced excel user

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact daily with outside parties and personnel at all levels throughout the organization;

• Team player, a take charge attitude and the ability to take direction;

• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work under tight deadlines;

• Must be able to multi task in a constantly changing environment;

• Strong work ethic; and

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Previous senior associate or acting skills, coaching and development skills

Desired Background

• Bachelor in Accounting or Finance is a must with a minimum GPA of 3.3

• 2-3 years of related

• CPA track desired
