POSITION SUMMARY
Oversee the preparation of the quarter-end and year-end financial statement packages for various Limited Partner and General Partner entities.
Oversee the preparation of all accounting, reporting (financial and tax) and compliance of a select group of funds
Coordinate with Fund Reporting Controller the preparation of year-end financials with the firm's outside auditor
Coordinate with the VP of Tax the preparation of year-end financials for GP Entities • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
Act as technical resource for Limited Partner and General Partner Accountant(s) and provide training to new employees as needed.
Review, enhance and improve quarterly financial reporting package for Limited Partner and General Partner groups as well as other quarterly reports tied to these packages.
Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial reporting
EDUCATION and/or RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Must have a very strong work ethic and desire to learn.
Must have experience in accounting for flow-through entities, such as limited partnerships.
Must have experience in understanding terms of securities, legal documents and investments.
Must have strong analytical skills.
Must have experience with general ledger accounting systems. Experience with Investran is huge plus.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to interact with people on all levels within the organization.
10+ years of relevant experience; Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA required.
Qualifications also include strong organizational skills, attention to detail, focused work ethic, and a team player attitude. Exposure to international accounting practice is a plus.
