Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Tax and Tax Team, the Tax Coordinator will be responsible for all support functions for the Company Tax team, a team of five professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to handle confidential information with the utmost professionalism.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Support day-to-day flow of information between tax team, corporate accounting and their accounting firms

  • Partner with corporate accounting and their accounting firms to ensure tax payments are made electronically or through check requests

  • Coordinating with tax team, corporate accounting and operations team to ensure tax returns are mailed timely  

  • Responsible for working directly with the consulting firms to provide them with various information needed to prepare and file tax returns and extensions

  • Assist with maintaining LP information for K-1, FATCA and CRS reporting

  • Assist with posting tax information for LPs on a web portal

  • Responsible for requesting and reviewing checks associated with tax payments and other agency payments

  • Assist with gathering LP information for FATCA, CRS, US and State tax reporting

  • Responsible for reviewing and responding to tax notices, which a consulting firm helps keep track of as well.  Not limited to corresponding with the IRS and/or the state in which the notice pertains to and writing letters to abate the notices and/or mailing the payments.

  • Assist in FATCA/CRS/1042 compliance which includes but is not limited to, solicitation, organization, and review of all Forms W-8 and W9

  • Responsible for assisting in various tax department mailings

  • Handle information in the form of reports, correspondence, and conversations, in a manner, which ensures confidentiality

 

The responsibilities of a Coordinator are those articulated by TA and by those you support, including without limitation:

  • Handle personal and confidential information with the utmost professionalism

  • General administrative support including:

    • Maintain and organize files

    • Answer phones

    • Copying, faxing, filing, scanning, mailing overnight/shipping as required

    • Proactively schedule conference rooms, hotel rooms, equipment, meals, and other logistics as needed

    • Data entry and management

    • Manage DocuSign and hard copy employee signatures on periodic annual certifications and acknowledgments

    • Prepare, edit and manage PowerPoint presentations as needed

    • Create charts in Word and Excel and manage on-going data entry

    • Make travel arrangements (domestic & international) including flight reservations, hotel accommodations, car service, visa applications, etc.

    • Process expense reports for reimbursement

    • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, strong academic credentials

  • 2-5 years post undergraduate experience

  • Experience in previous tax or accounting support roles preferred

Other Requirements:
