Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant opportunity is a newly created role based on the growth of the firm and accounting team. This position will report to the Fund Controller and be part of an accounting/finance department. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of accounting and reporting for certain Firm investment limited partnerships. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in transitioning from public accounting to a global private equity environment.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  •   Fund accounting, including use of general ledger and portfolio accounting system

  •   Assist with preparation of quarterly financial reports

  •   Preparation of fund and Limited Partners performance data

  •   Respond to queries from investors

  •   Assist with preparation of support for annual audits by outside auditors

  •   Cash monitoring and reconciliations

  •   Assist with capital calls and distributions to investors

  •   Assist with preparation of support for various filings with Treasury, SEC, etc.

  Ad hoc internal and external analysis as needed

Job Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience including Big 4/large firm public accounting with alternative investment / asset management clients highly preferred. Also open to accounting experience in a private equity/venture capital or alternative investment firm.

  • CPA required

  • Knowledge of partnership accounting and familiarity with partnership taxation and private equity deal structures.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel- including complex formulas) and Microsoft Dynamics GP general ledger system.
